Created as part of a collaboration between Stanford University's Graduate School of Education and Sequoia High School in Redwood City, CA. After serving as a teaching assistant in a high school remedial English class, I built the website to provide an accessible, curated selection of books that speak to students' experiences and enrich their understanding of the world around them. I animated trailers for each book as a way of providing an easy and engaging sampling platter of literature for learners who struggle connecting to literature.
An illustrated book reflecting on intimate partner violence (IPV). The book aims to share the disconcerting feelings that follow victims of IPV through allegorical illustrations that attempt to convey the elusive feelings post abuse. My aim is to frame the narrative in such a way that others are drawn and captured by the illustrations first as they are fed a rather ominous but important conversation around IPV and our culture of shame and silence around it.
